Three men were shot while asleep, two of them died on the scene and one injured in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Hazelmere in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) reported that three were shot while sleeping in separate rooms at a compound in Hazelmere - KwaZulu-Natal, during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
The security company mentioned that was alerted of the situation and dispatched its members to the crime scene, upon their arrival discovered that three individuals and two of them were dead.
"The Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) Operations Centre received a call for assistance at approximately 01:49. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival, it was reported that suspects had entered three different rooms and opened fire on the occupants.
“Two of the men were declared deceased at the scene, while the third victim was rushed to hospital for medical attention. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this stage. One of the deceased is believed to have been a taxi driver. The motive for the attack has not yet been established,” said RUSA.
RUSA revealed that spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.
Woman stabbed to death outside bar at Tongaat
Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) reported that woman was stabbed to death outside the bar on Tuesday at the Tongaat in KwaZulu-Natal.
RUSA confirmed that their officers alerted about the incident when were busy conducting patrol and proceeded to the scene where found an unresponsive female lying on the street.
"Members of Reaction Unit South Africa(RUSA) were on patrol on Arbee Drive in the Tongaat CBD - KZN on 23 December 2025 at approximately 18:12 (Tuesday) when they were alerted to a stabbing incident.
“Upon arrival, Reaction Officers found an unresponsive female lying on the roadway outside a bar. It is alleged that she was stabbed during an altercation and was declared deceased at the scene. Her partner, who was heavily intoxicated, was unable to provide further information on the events leading up to the incident,” said RUSA.
RUSA mentioned that the suspect is known to the deceased's partner. He fled the scene on foot.
